TRYING TO GO "MANUAL"

I have decided that it is time to venture into the manual mode on my Nikon SLR.
Luckily this fellow was patient enough to hang around while I took a few shots of him and his mate.
Some turned out OK and some not so OK!!

Warming Up The Neighbourhood!!

Not only was this fire warming up the neighbourhood but it was also doing it's bit towards air pollution!...and to think that people complain about cigarette smoke when woodheaters and fires generate even more unhealthy pollutants.

For a winters day the weather was perfect today...even the Pelicans thought so.

A Duck Out Of Water

The duck pond at the Burnie Park has been drained and they are doing some kind of digging in it. Not sure what they are doing to it....maybe cleaning it out.
There are still a few ducks hanging around the pond drinking the muddy slosh that is sitting in the bottom.

OUCH!!

I think Emma was attacked by the roses in the Burnie Park.
