Three Years

Today was the 3rd Anniversary of Mum's passing and I took her a beautiful dark pink rose that smelled absolutely gorgeous.
While I was at the Cemetery I sat down on the seat nearby for awhile and enjoyed the the sound of the birds.
It is a lovely area where Mum is and I'm sure if she were still here today to see it, that she would agree.

Today's sunset taken from the balcony. This time next week the sun won't be shining. End of daylight savings this weekend.

Guide Falls

This was the only photo taken at guide falls that was half decent.
I'm still not getting the hang of the light settings.
Need to do some more reading I think!

Feeding Time At The Park

Ian and I went out to the Park after tea in the hope of finding the Galahs that usually hang around there. When we pulled up there were four of them feeding on the grass but two moved away when I approached them. The other two stayed there and let me get quite close to them.

Who's A Pretty Boy!

I parked the car in town and then walked out to the park in hope of finding the Galahs feeding on the grass, but spotted only two up in a tree. When I tried to take a photo they flew away. The groundsman said that they usually come down to feed late afternoon, so I will have to go back later on this week.
Then I went around to the peacocks to see how the babies were growing..(haven't grown much in one week), and spotted the peacock and peahen.
I have never been able to work out why the males of the bird species are always the pretty ones...law says that females are vain but I think this proves that theory wrong.

WOW!

Wow!..I have a new background and I managed to change it all by myself.
Who say's you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

I haven't posted any pics for a few days so there are two for today.

One of Kosta watching me take a photo of a rose in my garden...and the rose.

No Sunshine Today

Today I went to the Burnie Park to have a look at the Peacocks and spotted a few baby ones there.

Then I went back to Romaine Dam and was surprised to find the missing Swan had appeared again.

Missing Swan

Yesterday I went to the Romaine Dam again looking for the Swan, and after walking all around the Dam the swan was not to be seen.....plenty of ducks but no swans.

Swan

This afternoon I went to Romaine Dam to get some pics of the swans but could only find the one swan...and he/she decided not to co-operate and proceeded to clean it's self for 15 minutes, so in the end I gave up and didn't get many shots.

First Day With New Camera

This will be my first posting of a pic with my new camera...lets see how I go at loading a photo on here.
